Hey all, now I dont need people flaming me for choosing megan racing because I've read a lot of stuff about it, and it just seems that some people like them and some dont. So my question to you people who have a megan-racing cat-back, whats it sound like? Is it a nice deep throaty sound, or is it ricey sounding? I ask because I'm going to be ordering their 2.5" stainless, mandrel bent cat-back set up this week for my 89 hatchback. (stock ka24e) Thanks guys! Oh btw, here is a link to the exact one that I'm getting- http://www.autogrimmig.com/the...l.bok So pretty.

no megans exhaust will fit the 89 240sx, the site sucks though cause when you goto search it only lets u choost a 240sx between 91+, like the SOHC isnt jack. DOHC love I guess.

Might want to try here, little bit cheaper:

yea but either way, wouldn't it fit whether its the ka24de or ka24e, cuz they both have a 2 1/4" exhaust, and thats the size of the inlet on the exhaust I posted. Plus the one you posted is 3" and thats way too big for N/A. It says its for the s13, 89-94, the one I posted. They have the one you posted there to, but like I said, 3" is way too big for N/A.

That one you posted will fit the SOHC 240s.

BTW, 3 inch is not to big for a KA, plenty of dynos to prove different.

I'm not saying its too big for the KA, I said its too big for N/A, Naturally Aspirated. You dont need THAT much flow out of an N/A engine, all it does is make it louder and give less backpressure.

No, it isn't anywhere near too big for NA. It's been dyno proven that a 3" exhaust gains from 13-15whp on a nearly stock naturally aspirated KA24DE, whereas a 2.5" exhaust on a KA24DE with the same other mods gains only 7.5whp.

You are wrong, and backpressure is not a good thing.
