"I spoke to our supplier and they've hit us with a "sold as is" clause, and feel that the motor was good at the time of sale. However I have had them acquire a R33 RB25DE engine which they have charged me 50,000Y, or about $425. Split cost with me for the complete engine?"
I asked to have him hold on while I check with McKinney since they state they have a used head that could get to me sooner and also might be cheaper and this is the response I got....
"They already collected the motor and I bought it. ALso our supplier checked the head and block casting #'s and found they are the same, only the pistons are a bit different. You'll have a complete engine then and I would recommend using the entire thing, so there will be no worry about any metal hiding in the old motor."
Unless I am mistaken, this seems like the guy I am trying to get the motor from is trying to milk me for a couple hundred more.....
Should I agree if he includes the head, exhaust, and turbo gaskets that I need to swap that head over?
Your opinions?
