This is the message I got about a z31 t3 I inquired on-

it was built out of 3 years of zx turbocharger parts by a company in NC, it has a 84-86 front housing, 87 wheel in the front, 86 center and shaft, and a 84 50AE rear compressor wheel and it does awesome, it has the usual normal shaft play (very little)

Anyone have any specifics on why this combo would be desirable? I know the basics of compressors and turbines, and am learning more. Maximum Boost is a great book btw.

I just don't know where to find specs on each of the different components he's saying were used in this turbo.

Haven't made an offer yet. I'm short on cash, and the turbo is easier to swap out than something like the I/C setup... so I can always go bigger later.

I've seen cheapturbo before, but forgot about it. I'll check it out again.

Stock turbos are never overly reliable. I had a Z31 with 60K on it and the turbo was going out already.
