Hey guys I am looking into getting subs in the near future and am looking at few things.I plan to buy a box like this most likely. http://cgi.ebay.com/METRA-S110...%3A50

This Sub Alpine Type R 4ohm 10" http://www.crutchfield.com/p_5...p=111

This Amp http://www.crutchfield.com/p_5...p=115

and the amp comes with a wiring kitits near the bottom. http://cgi.ebay.com/Rockford-F...%3A50

Will the box work cause it says it has a cutout diameter of 9 1/4 Inches, but the sub says it needs a cutout diameter of 9 1/8 inches.

How does this look? Any input on amp, subs, wiring kit quality would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for yalls help,

9 1/4 is bigger than 9 1/8 so it should fit in fine I believe.

The ebay links arent working for me, none of the links are working for me.

That means it will fit in the hole, but will there be enough room to put in the screw holes? I would be slightly worried that the screw holes would be 9 5/8 inches apart which would 1/4 to put the screw on a 9 1/8 inch opening, but only give you 1/8 to screw into on a 9 1/4 opening.

I have never ever mounted a speaker before however, and maybe you use brackets to mount them...I don't know...but someone will correct me if I am wrong.

The mounting holes are usually closer to the edge, so you should be ok.

I'm not sure about that power wiring kit. It probably has crappy quality power/ground wires. You may want to think about investing in a better kit. 4AWG should be fine. But since the power is such a pain to run, you wont want to redo it. It is always best to spend the money on good wiring so you don't have to tear the car apart again to replace. I use a lot of Street Wires (I'm pretty sure) in my car (can be had for relatively cheap on ebay). RF wiring kits are also pretty good.

As far as the amp goes, Doc might be able to help more. He knows his RF stuff.

I know a lot of people that have been happy with Alpine Type-Rs. They're good subs.

Hit up Broadfield in the nico sponsor section. He's a cool guy and has good prices on JL and Alpine gear.
