Doesn't affect handling.

Trans is lighter, but not THAT much lighter.

umm....slushbox versus 5 speed? all i can say is i wouldn't want to shoot myself. I drove a vert before we swapped the motor with a stock KA and slusher. I HATED it. glad I never had to drive my car with that pairing

handling is greatly improved because transmission doesn't try and shift in the middle of a curve. other than that.. nada.

About a 300 KG difference, so 600+ pounds should be shaved (off newer cars)

5 speed swap will NOT drop the weight off the car 600 lbs. off any 240.not sure where you got that from. 5 speed swap alone will be lighter because the tranmissions itself is significantly lighter, but you are also adding the flywheel, clutch pedal, clutch master cyliner, line, and the fluid.I'd guess total weight different between the swaps to be 125 lbs or so at the most. Probably closer to 100.
