How does Soundgate OEM4A Install?

Could you please describe the OEM4A by Soundgate? I believe this is what I need to connect a new head unit into my existing Bose factory amp/speaker system in my 1993 Infiniti J30. I am confused on how I will install this. It does not look like there are 8 wired inputs and 8 wired outputs (2 for each channel +/-) Please describe how it keeps it 4 channels without 16 wires coming out of it? And also, what is the "Front" and "Back" at the top, shouldnt it be "Left" and "Right"? Follow this link for a picture & Details

I know it is not as good as new speakers/wires, but this will have to get me for a few months because of $$$

Does anyone use this? Is the sound THAT degradated?
