Hi guys, I just orderd the spin-turn knob from Jspec.com and the owner said that the hardest part of the installation is the removal of the e-brake boot; and the instructions on the site say: remove e-brake boot. Do I just pull hard, or is it held down by something? Thanks ahead!-Galen

You can pull the base up over the handle section. If you're trying to remove the entire boot, you'll probably want to try to peel it off using a small razor as you pull along. It'll be very tough though, as the ebrake handle is bonded to the boot at the handle section.

just yank off the rubber boot by pulling it up and over the ebrake handle. its easier to do it with the ebrake up. once the metal is exposed their are two little metal clips one on each side (holding the spring inside). get a flat head screwdriver and bend those clips outwards away from the spring. try to get the spring out of the way by holding it up while you bend the clips. once the ebrake button can be pressed with no resistance then put the knob over the existing ebrake button just press it firmly down. and ur done

word, don't cut the handle at all. Just pull on it, and shimmy upwards
