Does anyone know how the Q45A Suspension actualy works? I think Texasoil is on holidays as I havn't had a reply to my question on the "Nitrogen Pressure" post yet. All my local tech is going to do is screw a Schrowder valve into the accumulator and pump some Nitrogen in. The big question is what pressure do we pump in??????? Seems such a simple solution to fix the active suspension problem. I wonder why somone hasn't thought of it before. Maybe the pressure is mentioned in that service manual that I can't seem to get my hands on. Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated.

I think texasoil and others have said the accumulators are manufactured to NASA specifications, so I don't think just popping in a Schrader valve would necessarily work at those pressures.

Thats the big question, does anyone know what sort of pressures are we looking at? Maybe we just have to put in some sort of valve that will take that sort of pressure. Any ideas on how we can find out what pressure Nissan used when they manufactured these things and how they got the nitrogen in there in the first place????????

I think Keith Bowers (texasoil) does.

Thanks Maxnix, but Texasoil is not forthcomming as yet with any information. I'm wondering if there is any info in the Service Manual that you guys have that would give an indication as to the pressure in the accumulators. Maybe even your local dealers (we don't have a Q45A dealer in Australia) might be able to give you an idea where to start. Is it 20 psi or 2000 psi????????????

OK guys yes I do know what pressure work best for the suspension accumulators. Aussie is right in that just schrader valves won't work. But I'm not gonna give out proprietary information I sweated a lot to develop. Infiniti would not disclose anything. The pressure is well over 2000 psi. My nitrogen charging system cost well over $1500 to assemble using high pressure aircraft components (the hose from the pressure regulator is proof tested at 7500# every year) The service valves I use are aircraft rated @ 5000 #--which means at least 10,000 # safely in automotive service.
