Good Morning,

Finally swapping my tires out for the first time and I have to transport the (dirty) summer tires back in the Infiniti. I would appreciate any tips before I do the trial and error of wrapping them in plastic and sticking them wherever they will fit, starting with the trunk of course.

If it makes a difference, 2 X 225-18" F and 2 X 245 18" R

Thanks

Also, my reason for asking is because I also have a truck that I can go back and pick them up but it is 30min one way. The obvious answer would be to take the Infiniti wheels in the truck but a spine injury prevents that.

Beautiful car! :yesnod

If you put the back seats down and put down some blankets would they fit?

Thanks, you have a good looking Z, nice contrast between the silve and black tint. Very clean.

The back seats don't fold down, there is only a small pass-through. You gave me a good idea to bring some blankets though instead of splicing together trash bags. I was worried about beating up my interior by cramming whatever wouldn't fit in the trunk into the interior but the blankets will offer some padding. Thanks!

Oh...I'm a big ole dummy. I just glanced at the pic and thought is was a coupe. Sorry.

Thx for the compliments on my Z. I've almost had it a year and I really love it. :)

Blankets over the rear seats/side would be the best bet. I've had a handtruck in the back of my G before...just be careful not to touch anything with the tires.

Used a blanket that I brought and the place had plastic tire bags so it wasn't a problem. In case anyone is interested, you can only get one in the trunk and three must go in the back seat, if they are mounted. Since I was bringing my summer tires back w/o rims, I was able to squeeze two 225 18's in the trunk and the two 245 18's in the back passenger seat, very easily, with the front passenger seat run forward a bit. Now I know for a future track day. Thanks all.

I believe the last time I did it I had two tires in the trunk and two on the back seat. In the coupe I had one in the trunk, two in the back seat and one in the passenger seat.

:)
