I was wondering if anyone has had a turbo kit on a Ka24e or Ka24de for a while. How does the motor and everything hold up turbocharged?

Cory from KA-T.org hit 532whp/486wtq at 30psi on stock internals. He regularly drove it around in the 400-450whp level for around 2 years and claims he would drive the hell out of it all the time.

Many, many, many people have easily hit 350whp on stock internals without breaking a sweat. As long as you prep your motor properly for the power and you set it up correctly (tune included), the motor won't break due to the KA's internals.

^^^ It all depends on the condition of your motor, proper setup and a good tune.

Personally, I think most old high mileage KA's would benefit from an OEM overhaul before being turbo'd. Properly done, seeing 400hp isn't unrealistic.

Consume every scrap of info you can. KA-T's are great but are really easy to screw up badly. If I weren't all in love with the VQ30DET swap, I'd go KA-T for sure...
