how do you tell if you have a real or Fake turbo ?

my question is --

how do you tell if you have a real garrett t3 t4 turbo--

-- i also know that you cannot put Garret on ur turbo unless its real right?- it should also say garret on the inlet housing right?

-+-+-+-+ = i have a garret ? t3 t4 turbo---- now the turbo i have it doenst say garrett on the inlet housing-- but on the exhaust housing - right in the spot were it is suppost to be -say Garrett -trying to see if its a real one or not- will put pictures on photobucket. tomorrow-thanks

Oh shi--! timewarp! It doesnt say garrett on my RB25DET turbo, but it is. The best way to tell or not if its a garrett is by the center section i've found out. I think just about every nissan ever made that has had a turbo has had Air Research/Garrett Turbines.

i think i understand-- now its double fined inside- is that whatyour saying-- if so then i got my self a garret turbo with a diffrent housing- ?pictures tonight Kcheck them out - going to go buy a lowered suburban - so cant post now thank and look later tonight Kthanks
