Greetings everyone- first time poster and prospective G37 coupe buyer here.

I am looking to upgrade form a Nissan Sentra to something more sporty and luxurious. Initially, I was interested in a 335i BMW convertible but shifted more to an Infiniti G37 coupe because:

1. lower price point (you pay premium both for the BMW name as well as the hardtop convertible)2. Hardtop convertibles can have sealing problems even if rare.3. Hardtops introduce possible expensive repairs.4. Japanese cars tend to be more reliable than German ones for lower overall maintainence.

Anyway, I am looking at used 2008's with at least navigation and premium but sport would be nice as well.

Browsing the Infiniti site, I notice that the Premium package has a moonroof so, it would seem that any Infiniti with this feature would have the premium package. However, it also says that the speaker system is upgraded to 11 speakers but often I see cars online, I will see a picture of an open moonroof but the stereo system is listed as 6 speaker only.

So, if the 2008 G37 coupe has a moonroof, MUST it have the premium package? Did the 2008 G37 coupe with premium lack the 11 speaker system now offered with the 2009? Or is the seller (not always an Infiniti dealership) simply incorrect on the number of speakers?

Thank you kindly.

Thank you for the response but could you please tell me how I would spot these?

How would I know what the memory seating is? What would the buttons look like on the door- is it a thin strip of numbers for the lock? And how could I tell if the audio has been upgraded? Do I need to count 11 speakers or is there an easier way?

Thank you.

The buttons on the door will be numbered.

Hello Tiara,One good way to spot if the radio system is Bose, just look at the front door speakers, and look for the Bose logo, also as mentioned, the car has memory seating, so in the driver door you will see three buttons (1,2 & Set), the third but not so reliable way of telling is by looking at the rearview mirror, the premium package has the dimming + Homelink option on the mirror, so the mirror does not look like the one you have on your sentra.Do the change, I just got my G37x! I prevously had a Subaru STi and I love the G! Go for it!!!Bill

I just wished to post to thank everyone for their responses. I was going to grab a car last week but it was sold out from underneath me. I'll keep waiting and saving until then.

Again, thank you.

If you end up getting a G37 get it with Premium AND Sport, or you'l be kicking yourself for years as the 19" wheels, Akebono brakes, and better suspension are well worth the extra cost. If I had to pick I'd even take sport over premium. Nav to me is a nice feauture but my iphone w/ Google maps is way cheaper..
