I am trying to order leather boots for the shift and ebrake from redlinegoods.com but they don't have our 2008 measurements yets. So, I contacted them and they need me to ship the shift boot along with the brackets and lower plastic part of the e-brake.

"For the ebrake boot we'd need the lower plastic half of it... The one covering the actual mechanism!"

I already took off the shift boots and the brackets but I have no clue about the ebrake part. I've been searching on the forum and FSM, but I can't seem to figure it out. Does anybody know how to remove it?

Once I send it in, I would finally be able to get two-tone boots and others will also be able to easily order it from their website afterwards!

I'm very interested. The plastic boot just doesn't cut it for a car of thiscalibre. There is a "how to" in one of the nico forums here I saw abouthow to take it off, I dont remember where but I know I searched forit cuz I was very interested. I know it's here somewhere. I think itwas as simple as pulling and twisting though. But don't take my wordfor it.

I took a screw driver and prowled around but I still can't seem to figure it out. There are no screws or clips. It seems like the plastic covering is just glued on tight, damn it!!!!

Well... When you take out the entire center console, it gives you damn good access to the ebrake, and its entire boot...

I remember it being somewhat of like a sleeve but i didnt try and take it off..

It sounds nuts, but to take out the center console, its only like 6 screws and 6 snaps!

Good news!I managed to take it out without removing the whole console. It was simply glued on the left driver side just before it starts to get thin. I used a screw driver to slowly scrap off the black rubber cement. I'm am gonna ship it tomorrow afternoon. Too bad it's located in Europe!

Also, they said they are willing to do a group buy price if there are enough buyers. I'll post pictures as soon as I receive them. I am getting two-tone boots (black-charcoal) with standard stitching, maybe I'll get the piping as well....not sure.
