I have all the tools and tried to take the dust cap off and I JUST CANT do it. I tried little by little and then after couple extended hours of trying, impatience wore in and rough handled the cap and it still wont come off. the cap turns lose but it just wont come out. I have the chisel, the pliers, etc and wiggling action and the cap seems pretty lose and turns 360 even by hand and wiggles very loose but the darn thing will not come off. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I just finished my greasing of the bearings last week...4x4

I used a hammer and chisel (sharp) and wedged it in the bottom crevice of the cap hammering a bit going around it....it will eventually move a bit...but you have to keep going around...then maybe when it has moved a lil bit around then you can just use a bit of arm power to push it a bit with the chisel OR you can hammer the chisel out wards once you get enough leverage when it has moved...

It is initially stiff thats for sure....

I had a hard time getting mine off as well. Screw driver, rubber mallet and crow bar did the trick. I coated the inside with grease before I banged it back on to make it easier the next time.

Thank you very much guys. I appreciate your answers. yes best way is to use a screw driver instead of a tool specified in the FSA. Tool at FSA is waste of time. Actually it was pretty easy to take it off once a screwdriver was utilized. Rest of the job; repacking both bearings with grease, rotor change, pad change was a breeze.
