I was watching autoweek on SPEED tv last night and the were testing the NISMO 370Z.

The announcer kept pronouncing it KNEEES-MO. I've always said it Nis-mo (Rhymes with His-mo)

I kept laughing at he guy but maybe I'm saying it wrong. (I pronounce NICO wrong too NIGHCO is how I've always said it.)

Same. I never knew people called it "knee-co" until NICOFEST.

It seems people with different languages, ethnicities, etc, influence the way its pronounced. In spanish I hear people pronounce it Nee-sahn, like most english speakers (and the dude in the commercials says it that way too) and a few people say nee-SAN, with emphasis on the second syllable set. Some pronounce it Niss-ahn rhyming with pissant. sort of. Thats weird to me. How they say nissan results some way in how they say Nismo.

Here's how I pronounce it:

Nissan = car
Nico = website
Nismo = car stuff

I live a simple life.
