Are radials all unidirectional? I have two tires on rear which are a year old so they will be going to front and i will be buying two new tires for rear.Do you have to take old tires off rim and switch them around so inside faces out? walmar is doing this but i want it done right.

No.

Best way is to look if the tire has any notation on the sidewall that says something to the effect of "direction of rotation" or has arrows that show the way the tire has to be turning on the car when going forward.

A good tire mounting place, and tire installer/technician, will do the job right.

Note: tests at Tire Rack show that "directional" tires do not always misbehave when turning the wrong way. But, I suspect that this may have something to do with the radicalness of the tread pattern. A tire like the Goodyear Eagle G1 GS-D3 may be more of a concern than a milder directional tire.
