The are pushed in tight. PB blaster and a rubber mallet. If that doesn't work apply heat to the spindle around the bolt then smack it.

oh and dont smack the bolts with a metal hammer, you can damage the treads then you will need new LBJs or control arms and even outer tie rods.

Just beat the hell out of it. It'll come out without damaging anything. Just don't smack the bolt threads. You'll mushroom the ends and make it a big PITA for yourself.

EDIT: ^^^ Damn, you beat me to it.

Do NOT hit the bolts directly. Hit the suspension arms that the bolts are attached to and force them out. They will come out, they just take massaging.

Hammer ftw, but like others said don't hit the bolts or you could damage the threads

to remove the part just use/rent a tie rod remover tool and a ball joint remover tool from Autozone. They will just pop off!

This will make your life much easier. I think I paid about $25 at Autozone. Make sure to get adjustable like mine, so you can use it for all different types of ball joints.

It is a long shot but you still may be able to return it, butwhen u rent a tool from autozone you have 90 days untill u own it. But that doesn't mean u still cant get ur money. I work thier and that is how I know all of this. Just talk to a manager and tell them that u were under the impression that blah, blah, blah, cause you were told other wise by an employee that works their no worries

i normally put the nut back on the ball joint and make it flush. i solid hit with a hammer and then one solid hit on the side of the spindle. easily pops off.

I just threaded a nut on like a twist or two and then smacked it with a hammer.

I totally wish I had an adjustable puller thing like the one posted... Would've been sooo much easier.

Well you guys are just lame. Whole purpose for us 240 owners, is cheap, easy to work on, can have sex with the seat fully reclined back, etc.

Stop being a ***** and thread the nut back on about 5 threads in. Than just give it some man hits with a hammer and it will come off. As for the spindle, it will be easier if you have it bolted up to the strut because the arm will just keep bouncing from every hit.

Have fun and to your lame pullers
