yes.. i searched.

there isnt a write up on how you remove just the evaporator. the reason i want to remove mine is because, when i did my sr swap i took all the ac componets out. and i just left the the evaporator ports open to the atmosphere, now.. they are filled with dirt and crap. i dont want to clean them, and even if i do. im sure the ac system will run crappy. i just want to remove it and install a fresh one i have around. i have the dash out already. and im wondering how i remove it, or if anyones done it before. any special tricks or words of advise?

i post this in: 240SX Forum / 180SX Forum / Silvia Forum » how do you remove the ac evaporator?!?!? ( just the evaporator)

all theses cars have the same evaporator in them. so i think your in the wrong forum.

there isnt a forum out there that covers how to remove the ac evaporator bud. just the ac componets under the hood. & this is for a 240. thats why its in the 240 forum. wow..

Yeah there's no write-up because it's quite easy.

I dont really remember what it takes, just a few bolts iirc. I didn't even have to remove the dash, just the glovebox and metal bracket it attaches to.

Just look at where It connects to, unbolt it, and gank that **** out. Not hard

It is quite easy...

Evaporator is in the engine bay on the right side bolted to frame below the battery tray.

Need to remove a plug, and unscrew the two lines coming into it and unbolt from the frame.

Of course you should make sure your system is depressurized of course.

Evaporator is under the passanger side of the dashboard. I think you might be talking about the accumulator or reciever dyer.

I hate AC
