How do you remove seat armrest??

Hello:) Im trying to remove the driver seat armrest to get it recovered. Anyone ever do this? Its a 92 q45 Thanks!Nel

It slides backwards about 3/4" and then lifts off. No tools required.

No luck:( Could the 92 be different? I sat in the drivers seat and grabbed the armrest and pulled back towards the rear seat but nothing???

Mike was referring to the arm rest in the door. I would also like to know how to remove the arm rest, so I can install a tempoary seat cover.
