I looked through the service maual PDF, and there is good on removing interior door panels, but only descibes the models with power windows. I want to take off the door panels to size up installing aftermarket power lock mechanisms, but removing the window crank handle is not obvious.

Anybody done this and want to share?

There is a tool for the the crank. However, I always use a rag. I use the shop towel as floss between the handle and shaft. As you work it around the little clip will pop off with no damage.

You will then have to remove the handles (2 trim pieces) uses a thin flat screwdriver to pop them off.

pop the lower clips and lift up
