You can loop the PS pump, but you will have a heavier pump than you need.

Other than that, you remove all active components (extensive and not easy) and replace where necessary with regular components.

There are a lot of differences, tension rods, main pulley, dash display,.....much easier to buy a nonactive than to downgrade an active and not end up with a heavier than necessary car hauling around useless dead weight.

Scottsdale Infiniti{www.everythinginfiniti.com} sells a kit with everything needed- look on their site under "specialty kits" in the Q45 section

Will cure all current and future expensive headaches caused by the old overcomplicated semi-active suspension system in a few hours time

Jerod did a great job of documenting his active to base conversion:

Do i need to spend the time and money removing all this stuff though. Couldn't i just put in coil overs and not use the active. When i took off my wheel there's nothing really in the way, so it seems easy enough to do. The only downside being some extra dead weight but wouldn't it be feasible to do so?

No you don't have to remove it. But if you do you will gain MPG's and some power. After all you will lose .2 seconds off the Quarter mile.

But why remove it does it currently work now?

Because some people actually do get lucky in life and they might not have to downgrade the suspension (Q45Tech would call it good maintenance on the Previous owners part).

You need to start by replacing the shocks and springs to units made for a non-active car.
