HI,

I bought 300 ics of the 27c256 a while back and I never used them, if any one is interested in buying some let me know, I will give you a better deal than any one else.

Thanks,

Rafic

I was too braindead to remember what to call it at the time, you want a SPDT switch, and connect the address pin to COM and +5V to A and GND to B (or swap A and B, doesn't matter).

There's various sorts of SPDTs, probably even some push-button instead of toggle-switch ones, but as long as it is SPDT it'll work.

Actually best would be SPDT along with some other crap to anti-bounce the change but this will work.

well you can have a switch that is SPST which is the same as above, but no B terminalso for example you either feed it +5V or nothing (disconnected)hopefully the EPROM would have internal pulldowns to make a floating input on the address line fall to ground, which would work fine then, but no telling...you can get SPDT's in many flavors (push botton, toggle switch like the bottom of the pic, DIP switches, sliding switches..)

your typical on/off switch is a SPST switch .

the chips that didn't work, what are they? if they're UV-erasable types are you sure they were erased before hand?

haha yes, as long as it operates like that doesn't matter how it looks, other than how you want it to look.

Guys, has anyone had problem with changing EPROM?I've tried to modify fuel maps and set speedlimiter to some 70mph just to check and there's no difference... Car runs like before... limiter doesn't work also... What am I doing wrong?
