Does anyone know the procedure you have to follow when programming a spare key to work with IVIS? Or know where I can find the procedure on the FSM? thanks.

Sorry my friend, dealer only. You have to bring your new key (or buy a factory one from them for $150+) and bring all of the keys to the vehicle.

They have to clear out all of the programmed keys and reprogram each one or they all won't work.

The Infiniti dealer near me charged $85.00 to reprogram three keys and they even reprogrammed both of my remotes for free.

Good luck.

Do you know the procedure on consult on how to do it? So the original key has to be removed and then reprogrammed or the others wont work?

Fully described in FSM and the special NAT card/program TSB required for Consult II.

NAT cards/program are only sold to dealers even T3 cannot buy one. Due to the need for changing Infiniti customer records/VIN correlation.

Yup, I asked the same question a week ago and got the same answer, even did some real world investigation, dealer is the only way to go.

Yea i know the dealer is the only place that can do it. Thing is I have a friend who works as a nissan tech and can do the service for me. Only thing is everything on the Q is not like any other nissan. We already tried the general procedure of registering the spare key and no go. SO, I wanted to know a succesful procedure. I can not find it on the FSM. Thats where I need help.

Consult won't do it without the correct card or module. Nothing like the FGY33 in the Nissan inventory.

Infiniti dealer. Has to register the key with the VIN with Infiniti also. Unless your Nissan guy knows an Infiniti service manger that owes him, might be tough.
