I downloaded a large file for a QX4 the file is 1997_QX4.rar I cannot open the file as the program asks for what program created it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks and Merry Christmas

Thanks for the info, that worked, I was wondering if you had any suggestions to add to the service I was going to do so I can do it right the first time, anytime estimates would be appreciated for the DIY. Fortunately I have access to a lift and air and tools. I am using factory parts for all repairs and maintenance

My QX4 is a 1997 and has 108,000 miles, I was planning on doing the following service:

PlugsWater HosesSparkplugs,

Timing belt ( I just replaced the regular belts) I was hoping to get rid of a squeeking sound when I changed the belts but it is still there, is this the timiing belt?

Replace the exhaust system from the exhaust manifolds,

The front axle outer boots started leaking, I think this happened in the last 1000 miles, there is no noticeable noise (whine or clicks)and there is still grease in the boots, should I replace the boots or the axles? I don't want to waste money if possible.

Best tires for the QX4, it is a 4 wheel drive and has Michellins 265x70x16, I been told they are too big although I never had a rubbing problem. the vehicle is driven on highway only.

Appreciate your input and Thanks!

Stewart

Get your plugs from everythinginfiniti, as well as all your other OEM parts. Call up Joe (his contact information is in my sig) and tell him WES from NICO sent you!!! he will be sure to give you the best deal possible, and youll save a ton of money!

He'll set you up with a set of OEM NGK plugs, the timing belt kit (you should probably replace your Tstat, tensioners, cam seals and waterpump while in there.... common replacement items during ANY timing belt job on ANY car)..

The squeaking could be a timing belt tensioner but I kinda doubt it, it could be a regular belt tensioner too, could mean the bearings are seizing.. While you have the timing belt off (you probably have to take the regular belts off, right?) you might check and verify your belt tensioners slide freely. If they dont, replace the bearings, this can be done at NAPA!

Why do you need to replace the exhaust? Is it really rusted that bad?

I would ask Joe about the axles/boots... He would know what the best course of action would be..
