there is a plastic ring around the door handle pop it and the panel will then slide over the actual handle

yep...the only other reason it might be hard to get off is the numerous tabs that hold it to the door... just pull hard!

Window roll down handle is held on by a little circlip that can be pulled off with needlenose pliers, or pried out with a tiny flat head screwdriver.

Armrest is obviously held on by 2 big phillips head screws accessable fromn the bottom of the handle.

Door latch handle comes off only when the panel is already off, but the plastic surround just pops off from the bottom with your fingers.

As for the panel tabs, I found it easiest to use a butter knife, although there are little tools for just that application.

To add to Sean's post, you can get a door panel popper tool at most parts stores for about $3 that has a forked end perfect for popping the little jesus clip off the window crank, and for popping the snap in connectors around the edges of the door panel.

Yep and it is worth 3 bucks or the tabs get torn to hell. You can take a flat piece of thin metal and make one by notching out a u hole but spend the 3 bucks.
