Job: Real Estate Acquisitions at a REIT.
% of check going to car: About 25% if you include gas, car payment, insurance, and misc. stuff.
I also have a fair amount of credit card debt racked up (~$5k), which I need to pay down before I do any substantial mods. Bonus will wipe out most of that (w00t).

What do I do at my Job: solve network problems for students, troubleshoot for students and staff, build PC's, web design for school, assistant to director, monitor employee timesheet info and regulate accordingly
how much an hour: 5.55 (ripoff...but I get tons of freetime and I get paid for new certifications, paid to take the certifications, and they are paid for by my employer)
% of check going to car (s): 100%
I pay $230 a month on the M3, the 240sx has been paid for a while and all of the parts and goodies on both are paid for by my jobs and ebay skillz.
I minimize my expenses by being a cheap-a$$: not buying new clothes since age 16, take bus to class, walk to work, not eat out, not spending money on girlfriend (baaad idea).

What i do there: Prewire, retrofit and finishing work of high fidelity theater and distributed a/v.
How much an hour: 8.50 (next month should be up to 12 or so)
$135 a month for carpayments and about 40-60 percent of the paycheck towards improvements to my baby.

What do I do at my Job: Send requests for user accounts, or ask NMCI (some ghey contractor) for permission to move any piece of computer gear we have that they have rights to. Then I spend all day on the phone trying to sort stuff out to make my users happy.

What do I do at my Job: Customer Service Associate
how much an hour: $8.52 (but its only an average of like 15-20 hrs a week. Im not gonna work myself to death at 19 , gotta LIVE AND ENJOY life a bit)
% of check going to car: Varies. I dont buy much besides bills/necessities, so the rest pretty much goes to my car in some sort of way.
Personally, I'd much rather move out and get my own place or live in student apartments (NOT dorms) rather than live at home and spend as$loads of money on my car (which I could do). Just doesnt feel right to me. Push comes to shove I'll just wait until I can afford to get my WRX/STi before going turbo or doing "super mods" on my car...Just a personal preference.
NOTE: Im in no way trying to offend or bad-mouth anyone here, just stating how I feel.
