I bought this blown shortblock ka that was previously turbo, the guy didn't upgrade his fuel supply so now you can see the entire width of the #2 piston ring in the block. Anyhow, there's a stainless braided oil-feed line that I removed to look at and try to figure out.

Apparently, from searching here, I've found that -3an is the optimal size for a feed line, and you don't have to run a restrictor with that size. Only problem is I can't find anything on HOW to measure the line. I mean I've never touched this -3 an or whatever kind of size in machine class at school, so I'm befunkled. Can somebody help meh??!?

Oh btw for the oil return line he was using a 3/4"?? rubber hose, is this okay? Since the oil simply only needs to drop from the turbo into the pan I don't see any reason it wouldn't be, but just to make sure can somebody verify? Thanks guyz _-_zzz

What do you mean measure it? Its pretty freaken simple to measure things.. If your talking about what length you need you can try using a piece of solid core wire and rout it the way you want to do your line, then measure that.

You want a minimum of a -10 an line, or 10/16ths line for your oil drain.

AN stands for army navy, the -3 stands for 3/16ths of an inch. The inner diameter of a -3 hose is 1/8th inch. A -3 is good for smaller turbos, but a larger turbo will benefit from a 1/4 or 3/8ths hose.

I thought it stood for Allied Nations
