I am having issues with my 240. I am trying to get it started and moved so I can put another 240 in its place...but it wouldn't start.

I was reading a thread I searched ( I was looking for a way to bypass the starter and start the car) when I saw a thread that said "a friend recommended to jump the starter to the battery."

How do you jump the starter to the battery? I have an idea but I don't want to fry the car.

With your battery connected, take a wire from the positive side of your battery and tap it on the starter solenoid. This will turn your engine over as long as your battery/starter is good.
