I don't know anything about installing fuel injectors from releasing the pressure and repressuring all that stuff. I'm a noob to all this fuel injection stuff. If anybody has any comments or anything I would appreciate that. And pictures would really help.

whenever i work with the fuel I just undo the gas cap to release the pressure or maybe if you took out the fuel pump fuse and cranked her up a few times .... that might work. Just undo the two screws that hold the injector plate in ... get a nice tool... preferably needle nose pliers that kinda curve in to grip the holes one on each side of the injector... then just pull as hard as you can and it will pop out. That's how I do it. If you dont have the right tool you will tear up the injector (the plastic part) just take a look at it and you will see what i mean.

when I am struggling with a bolt... I usually spray on some wd and get an extension and a hammer (metal, to cause more vibration) and tap on it a little bit . it works with most bolts, just don't give up and put a lot of pressure on it. Oh yeah, don't strip it either. Can you fit a flathead in there? A tiny one? Flat heads usually work because they are less likely to strip out as long as you push down hard.

You know what worked for me? Vicegrips. The screws were way too tight and I had almost completely stripped them out. So I literally locked a set of vicegrips onto the head of the screw and twisted it. Broke right loose lol. Thw worst part isnt getting the caps off though, its gettint the injector out without breaking the plastic top. Have fun with that...

I'm assuming this if for a KA24DE?

When I put new O-rings on the injectors in my KA24E the injectors came right out with no fuss.

A few tips.

Clean around the fuel injector area for any lose dirt and stuff. Check the o-rings for any obvious damage. LUBRICATE o-rings with either vasaline or clean motor oil before installing.

Also, check the electrical conectors for any signs of corrosion or damage. I melted a piston on my 2.2 turbo dodge due to corroded connections, otherwise called "Green death"

As far as repressureizing, after making sure all connections are secure, and noting location of closest fire extinguisher, turn key to on for a few seconds and then off. This will run the fuel pump for about 3 seconds. Then start normally.
