I have a 93 240sx 5spd DOHC

I'm replacing the egr valve and egr tube, but i can't seem to get that bolt behind manifold. There were 2 bolts but there but the one closes to the egr is giving me the problem. I found this pic from a different post and just circled where that bolt is. I sprayed some WD-40 in there before i tried.

I can somewhat get a socket wrench with an extension on it at a weird angle, but its not gonna turn since the wrench is not all the way into the bolt. i tried sticking my hand in there with a small wrench but it was impossible to turn. I was thinking that i might have to take out the whole manifold, but there has to be a way around that.

The parts i got coming in the mail are:Egr valve and gasketEgr tube

Is there anything else i should change while i'm at it?

get a can of pb blaster and a swivel socket for the ratchet, that swivel will allow you to fit the socket right on there. spray the bolt with pb blaster, allow that to sit for as long as you can wait, spraying ocasionaly.

Isn't WD-40 the same as PB blaster?

Also i might have ordered the wrong part. I got this long tube about over a foot long in the mail today and it was labeled egr assembly tube. I was expecting that weird shaped tube that connects with the bottom of the EGR-BPT hose, then the EGR-BPT hose connects to the bottom of the EGR-BPT vavle.

Is that weird shaped tube part of the EGR valve itself, because i'm still waiting for the egr vavle to come in the mail.

The one i got in the mail is metal, and its probably the big tube with the big rusted looking nut under the egr valve in the pic. I was expecting a skinny metal tube that connects with the BPT hose.

that tube is the one that takes the exhaust from the mani and transfers it to the egr.

Thanks for clarifying that. Do you know the name of that skinny tube? I looked through some of the sponsors websites under emissions/Egr system options but they only display Egr valve Temp sensor Tube Valve gasket

Is this a dealer only part or something?

If you need the little rubber 90 degree tube that runs from the BPT to the EGR, that part number is 14755-T8002. It's 4.75 at Midway. If you're talking about the funky metal tube, it's 14750-53F00, 9.98 at Midway. Hope that helps.

thread is about 2 months old I actually finished the job a few days ago, thanks though.

i replaced most of the egr parts. Replaced Egr tube, egr vavle, egr bpt valve, bpt tube, egr gasket, egr passage gasket. I used a swivel on that bolt that i was talking about in the beginning of this thread, but the egr tube was such pain to take off and put back on. Love that pb blaster
