How do you get a motorcycle license?

I wanna start riding this summer. How do you get a motorcycle license here? When you take the test do you need your own bike?

My coworker just got done with the class. He told me that all he had to do was take a 2 week course at a community college. It consisted of classroom teaching for a week, than at the end of the week take a written test. After that they provide the bikes to practice on. By the end of the second week you have to take a riding test with their bike and if you pass you get a little certificate that you take to the dmv.

The air force base down the street does weekend classes, show up take an 8 hour class. next day take a test/road test. if you pass you get your license that day. All in one weekend.
