Many times I want to look up an address while my wife is driving. How can I enable navi while the car is in motion? Thanks a bunch! It will only be used when I'm the passenger. It's so annoying when you are trying to find something to have to pull over.

Actually, now that I read it through that one mention DVD only and says that Navi requires the speed sensor wire to be toggled on. Is there another method?

Unfortunatly for safety reasons, you can not "switch" it without some hacking of the wiring. It's not a difficult procedure, but it does require you to take apart the dash and cut a couple wires. This is also illegal, but I'm sure you'll be using this for "off-road purposes only."

Ah ok. It's not worth the trouble then. Good thing I have a good sense of direction.

You could probably find a way to rewire the thing to be independent of the speed sensor, but that would require quite a bit of work.

Well you're in Marietta too, and I've done this on my G, so if you ever need some help with it, just let me know. I don't have nav, but the same mod is required to play video while driving.

Wiring in a toggle to cut the signal wire when you want to program the nav is the simplest way to do this. Its actually somewhat necessary as the nav will not adjust your location while the speed signal wire is cut. How difficult it is to do might vary with which vehicle you have (Not sure which G you own).
