i deal with it only because i have to. i hate it. its boring. its slow. its boring. it makes gas mileage worse. did i say it was boring? so i've had enough of it. i'm going to get my brembo rotors, then either get rims then save for 5speed swap, or do swap first. i'm sick of this auto crap. i need a 5speed!!!! so i'm just wondering how you deal with your auto. if you like it? hate it? or just deal with it? i've always thought about 5speed swapping, but this time, i seriosly think i might go through with it. i can't handle having a "sportscar" w/ an auto. an auto just makes it that much more not a "sportscar"

auto/ torque converter has the advantage over a 5 speed with the right setup.

I deal with my auto just fine. If i were to get an additional car, I'd prolly go for the manual. Most admirers of my car never say anything about my transmission anyways. It's already the shiz. LOL

lol, tony your car is the shiz man. i wouldnt' give you crap about your car being auto, just because you have 100 more horsepower than i do. and i'm sure i could deal w/ an auto w/ that much power. :D

i'm too lazy to get a manual. what's so bad about an auto? i can put it in all the gears (1-4) and then be able to use my left foot to brace myself in turns as i slide on the leather seat.

they are just for lazy people... auto are generally slower than a good standard driver... people dont seem to realize the power loss that a auto causes...

exactly. auto's are boring, slower compared to a good standard driver, and you loose more power through them. yea, see you guys know what i'm sayin. masterman, how long have you had your car? i'm only been (regularly) driving mine since the end of august, when i got my license. i'm already sick and tired of it.

well i got my car in august of 2001, 8 months before i got my permit, heh heh. i drove it a few times a week w/ my mom in the country out where we live. i didn't really think much about it then, just because i was driving "MY" car. i didn't start hating the auto part until i got my permit in april. now that i got my license, i hate the auto just that much more.

yea he trys to whore but fails intensely.. dont worry about the auto yet... worry about it when you start putting more power through it, and when you race it on a constant basis... untill then your gonna be bored...

heh heh, yea, i miss the ring. i liked reading it. Dees dominated. and yea, alot of my friends w/ a standard love it and wouldn't trade it. they say it sucks in traffic and all that, yea i know, but they say every other time, its awesome. a friend of mine has a standard car and an auto. he said its nice to have them both, so u can get away from the other one if you want to.

Exactly! If I got another car, it would more than likely be a stick.

It would suck if i had a really hard clutch pedal, but i just got a new clutch pedal and it's soooo soft, almost to soft , hardly have to apply any pressure. It still pushes back a little but just enough so you can feel it. Doesn't get annoying holding it down in traffic though :)

thats one of the things my buddy hates, is having to hold it down. but i informed him he doesn't have to hold it down, he can put it in neutral, heh. he was like dude, thanks. lol
