Say if we have negotiated down as low as the price will go, is that a good time to say oh BTW my final request is that you pay for and install a Stillen spoiler,,,? Can dealers technically do so or would that be considered them doing you a huge favor?.?.

Is it easier for the dealer to throw in a whole boatload of parts (body kit, rims, etc.) rather than negotiating closer towards invoice?

thx

i had my dealer install my stillen rear wing b/c they F'd with me so much on the deal, i was heated, made a scene and the manager asked me what they could do to make me happy.

stillen wing it was, but damn i wish i hadnt had them install it . . . they did a **** job and now i have to go to a body shop and have them reinstall it . . . .

an example of dealer incompetence:They tell me, "We cant clean the surface on your car, you may need to have it buffed. It looks like there are water marks all over it that arent coming off"

uummm yeah, thats called sap, and it comes off with any soap. Sap is water based and comes off of the car VERY easily. They told me they were trying to clean it and couldnt remove it.

Dealerships are R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D. Have them buy and paint the parts you want, but bring them to a quality custom shop to have them installed. I will never let the dealership TOUCH my car again. Ever.

I am a car salesman (not for Nissan though). You will always be able to get $500 worth of accessories over $500 discount, because the parts dept. benfits from that sale even though the sales dept. doesnt. If you already have a large discount on the price you will be lucky to get anything extra thrown in, but try for cheap accessories. You will also have a better chance getting Nissan parts over other brands because of the low cost to the dealer.
