Well my Dif controller took a crap on me so I have my fans wired straight into the battery for now. (it's annoying unhooking my battery) What are you guys using to turn on your fans? Besides fuel pump relay, or a switch.

Under the steering panel is a 12V switched wire. Wire that to a fan relay (summit racing). Ignition 12V to coil, ground to other side of coil. Battery to relay power in, fans to relay power out, fan negative to chassis.

Didn't know they had a factory temp switch for fans OEM being they used a clutch fan.

This is my setup, however the vacuum pump has another relay, and some pressure switched I did not add to my drawing.

Cars equipped with a/c have a thermoswitch lined into the lower radiator hose.

I however have my fans run by a Hayden adjustable thermo-switch. Available at pretty much any parts store, not as fancy sounding as Dif controller, but for $40 it has worked without fail for the past 2 plus years.

I use my haltech to control the factory fan relays on my car, and I even use the factory wiring. Works way better than most of the controllers as I don't have to worry about the controllers frying themselves, (ask me how I know that one) and I have complete control as to what temp the fans turn on low speed or high speed.

The single slammers do, dual cam cars turn the fans on and off based on the the temp reading from the cts.

aren't those fan relays suppose to be used in conjuction witht the AC? Like you turn on your AC and then your fans kick in?

Yeah if I didn't lose mine I would still be rocking it instead of this 80 dollar one. I think they also have one that will controll two fans seperatly.

switch to turn on a relay, then relay turns on the fans. Fuse it too.

Just got this thing but it didn't come with any instructions It has to blade style connections on it, but I don't know what goes where... Do I just hook up the fans to it? No power or ground?

Never mind guys, I called summit since they sell one that looks identical to this one and they told me that it doesn't matter what goes where. As long as it has 12v and the fans hooked up to it. I guess you just need to complete the circuit Well, it works...but I just wish my water temp gauge would of came in so I could set it to turn on at the exact temp that I want it too, instead of going off the factory gauge.
