i can't believe I have to ask, but I haven't found how to clear the warning light on the dash for the oil change and filter. I changed the oil/filter on my own, and had a warning set up in settings, but have cleared that on the touchscreen but it won't go away on the dash.

I have checked the manual and pressed the buttons on the right of the dash and held, no matter what, these warning lights come back on each time I turn on the car.

thanks.

This is done through the navigation screen. There are maintenance or information menus which get you to the oil and oil filter maintenance screen. Your navigation manual should help you if you cant wing it.

If it doesn't go away, reset the computer....

Unplug the negative battery terminal, and depress the brake pedal a few times. Should clear all codes.

Remember your Nissan warranty REQUIRES that written legal proof of an oil and filter change every 7500 miles and 180days be kept for presentation in the event of an engine warranty request.

Any shop letterhead, dated, with VIN,mileage, quanity and oil type/filter must be on the SIGNED work order.

Nissan is tough and usually calls every shop where you had oil changes.

No self changes are considered as legal because you cannot provide proof............see your document. Purchase receipts for oil don't prove it was actually used and when.

Obviously dealer computer is tied in so they can see those easily.
