I had extra valve cover sand blasted and damn, I didn't know it can get dirty so quick. It looked good when I picked it up, but even grease from my hands makes marks on it. How can I clean it up real good as it was before? Paint thinner, aceton or something? I'm trying to clear coat it as it is, sand the letters down and put it on for clean look.

This is when it was clean.

I have a can and I'll give it a shot tonight. If it leaves stain, I'll spray paint with silver or something.

Carb cleaner will leave residue. Alcohol, cotton, and elbow grease should work.
