I just bought a pair of clear front signal lenses for my 92 hatch. One has a little bit of amber gunk inside, it'll wipe right out. How do you open the lenses? i tried pushing down on what seem like clamps and prying w/ a screwdriver, but i ended up chipping off a piece of the lense(luckily i did it on my old amber ones first.) any tips would be great; thanks!-Galen

Alright...just did the oven thing on my old amber lights...it worked...but when i put em back in the oven to reheat the glue and took em out; it was deformed at the bottom. Anyway to prevent this?-Galen

Watch them closely and let them cool a little bit before putting them back in and only 5 mins tops And make sure you push them together the best you can then heat up and then push on them somemore. Also put like a pizza pan under it and then like a little towel folded up to avoid the pan getting hot and metting it.

So Pan,Towel,Light and I have never had problems so just watch closely

Tell me how this works for you.

Like a pancake, try using a spatula and flipping them every few minutes.

IMO, I don't think putting plastic bumper lenses in the oven is such a good idea. If i drove a 92 like you, I would just purchase a set of these from Autodynamic.com

The lenses are completely clear with no amber reflector piece inside the housing. Sure saves a lot of hassle and work anyways.

the oven thing ****s em up if you don't handle it PERFECTLY. THe lights that guy is selling have amber in em. They all do. You know why? the amber is not in the light piece, it's the bulb. So you can use your stock bulbs and make real clear corners or you can use amber ones, which in my opinion look way sicker, and it has a amber reflection from diff. angles and looks pretty mean at night. But i think i'm gonna save myself the hassle of buying another $30 w/ of lights for an exterior i dont give a sh*t about(hehe sorry for the pesamistic attitude) try and find a guy at the NorCal meet 2morrow thats willing to hand over one of his stock signals(for like $2) and i'll have one clear and one amber. It'll look unique, and everyone will know its me when i drive during the day. hehe. That's my opinion and i'm sticking to it!:D-Galen

P.S. Thanks for all the help though guys, i think it was just a flawed light to begin with. I wasn't trying to say "screw you guys" in the last post. You guys really did help out. Thanks!-Galen
