how do you change your oil ?

Do you change oil by month or by mileage ? For some reason changing oil every moth even if you didn’t drive 3000 miles seems like scam tome unless you live in extreme weather conditions !

I bought the oil change package with my maxima. They go by mileage only. Ive had my car be at 6 months past the date and because I wasnt at mileage they wouldnt do it. Per nissan hq supposedly.

Funny to hear that when in the same time they told you to follow the 3months/3750miles (or the 6 months/7500miles) interval if you don't want your warranty to be void.

They are allowing themselves to make some oil economy by only following mileage and not duration, but forbid us to do the same.

Do they put a better engine when you buy their oil change package?
