your parking brake is for your rear wheels. dont waste your new tires right away by burning out, use the old ones and just do a regular burnout. dont let the cops see (if your young) because thats a $350 ticket here.

you can use your regular brakes, or just put something in front of your front tires to stop you.....you dont have to mash on the brakes when doing a burnout....just a slight press will keep you stopped.

You can install line-lock. It will allow you to burnout in place without wearing your brakes. Summit sells it and it isn't to bad of a price. It locks the front brakes with a flick of a switch and allows the rear wheels to spin freely. :D

put some bleach under the rear tires for lots of smoke, and a more slippery surface.

ya you can do that as well....no it shouldnt hurt your brakes too bad just dont press the brake hard. It might take a couple of tries to get it right....but the bleech will work wonders

you can floor it and let off the clutch, burns your clutch up, but oh well, get triple plate next time, helps w/ racing a lot.

Get yourself a butt-load of horsepower... rev it up and dump the clutch.... you'll burn out alright! All 155 stock ponies may not be quite enough though:D

Buy a car that will actually spin the rear tires...:D

If you post a pic of a stock 240 with an a$$ full of white smoke people are gonna think your car's on fire.

If you MUST get a burnout pic, use the aforementioned "bleach puddle", apply the brakes lightly, stab the throttle (to break 'em loose) and then keep the revs high enough to keep 'em spinning but low enough to spare your engine. Also, if you have an automatic, keep it in first gear or it'll shift into 2nd on you. Also, try to find a location with some smooth asphalt (or even concrete), it'll help out with the the "lack of HP".

You won't wear your brakes enough to make any difference.

donut spares, hard and skinny soaked with bleach planted in two patches of grease. A Yugo with a dead cylinder could smoke the hides under those conditions!

remember, a burnout is not a burnout until the cords are showing. only problem with burnouts besides the obvious (tire wear) is cleaning the rubber and bleach if you used it off the car.

Either Summit or Jegs sells some stuff to put on the car so the rubber comes off easy, not sure about the bleach though. If you have a black car would the bleach turn it brown?
