2 friends are the only easy way. or one friend and a floor jack, just make sure it's lined up perfectly and push twards the motor. i heard rotating 180 degrees works to but i found that out after i got mine back in

I stuck my arm down through the hole in the floor where the shifter goes through and held the back of the transmission up. My father laid on his back and turned the transmission upside down, slid in the input shaft, then turned it rightside up.

Took about 5 minutes of wobbling but it finally slid in there.

I unbolted the motor mount on the passenger side of the car and jacked the motor up in the front. Then the transmission went in shifter up no problems.

Now finding someone with small enough hands to get to the bellhousing bolt at the very top of the motor, thats another story...

Or if you can't find a hand small enough...get a pretty long extension and a swivel and have fun trying to guide it onto the bolt without using your hands.
