So after building the $9billion LHC...they're going to build an even longer one?
I'm all for cracking the "universal theory", and this is in no way a criticism, I'm just wondering where they get the funds for these huge scientific projects with pretty much no foreseeable profit to be made from them.
Is it mostly private capital going into these? Or are multiple nations providing funding? ANyone know?

easy

the LHC did create a singularity that allows for time travel/control of time. they went back in time and made billions of dollars or froze time and "obtained" it.

When you go into work each day & your boss craps on your head, and your job beats you down to a pulp... then the government takes away 40% of your income in taxes... that is who pays for garbage like this.

I heard the thing was largely paid for (on our side) by private donations... Plus you wouldn't believe the money certain European countries put into these kinds of projects.

I just want to know if they've actually found proof that dark matter does in fact exist, and if so how I can get my hands on some to begin the next phase of world domination plan.

I created some toxic, dark matter this morning, but I doubt you'd want to get your hands on it. :)

As info, the majority of the funding for the project is by European countries. US is not a major player.

Well CERN gets a crapton of money from european governments. About 664million EUR in '08. They also get private donations. Europeans do love them some science.

You don't actually think they spend $20,000.00 on a hammer, $30,000.00 on a toilet seat do you?

It seems like a waste of money. Way too much effort and time and resources spent on science projects. There's lots of other things all this money could be going to. Some of it should show up in my bank account. I'd be happy.
