Man, things were ok when I lowered the car (agx / sportlines).

I just installed my VIS technoR kit, which is now making it look AWESOME (still getto cuz I haven't painted yet), but too low for most driveways.

I totally and I mean totally mess up my bottom front fender trying to go on and off driveways. You can see fiberglass dust on the sidewalk :(.

Speedbumps so far haven't been that bad.

Dips are kind of bad.

Any techniques you guys mind sharing about going in and out of driveways, speed bumps, dips, etc?

Thanks

45° or better angles are the key.

you learn to drive carefully and be careful where you go. i myself am moving out of my current home, for the sole reason to put tein flex coilovers on and dump the crap out of it, just because my driveway goes upwards and i cannot make it up without a flat driveway..

do what you must.

Thanks for the reply.

Yea, I've been trying my hardest to practice and go at angles.

My stupid driveway is curved! So no matter what angle I approach it, I can get an angle at all the side walk. These cul de sacs were made in discrimination to lowered cars I swear, haha. The other bad thing is I usually come home after everyone else, so since there are cars all over the driveway, there leaves little room for me. I'm just gonna try to find street parking :(.

Back to the angles thing. I think I understand how to approach with the first wheel, usually my passenger front tire.

What is the next wheel to get on the bump? Passenger back or Driver Front?

If anyone has a good "order" of when tires are suppose to be on and off the bump, that will save me a lot of time so I know where I'm headed :).

Thanks for all the replies, I'm sure this is gonna help other poor souls like mine.

***Aries: Did you mean 45 degrees all the way through the speed bump and dips? and then turn my car back?***

I have a hard time figuring out when to turn back or when to keep turning in one direction. I'll figure it out... eventually.

Too bad you cant opt for a plastic front bumper, my car is dumped and I have the oem lip, I can punish that thing to no end without damaging it at all.

about the angles, just try out diff ones.

got a pic of how low your car is? I wanna see if its really dumped that much.

Yeah.I had my car slammed down 4 inches at one point, and that was the ONLY way to get arround in Houston. Wait for your clear spot, and then go 45° over the entire bump, and then turn back straight and go on down the road.

you'll wanna go passenger front tire.....then driver rear tire.:ylsuper

just playing, passenger front, driver front , passenger rear, then straighten out...you shouldn't be turning until three wheels have cleared for best results.....the key is 45ish degree angles....very slooooow.when aries said turn back, i'm pretty sure he meant turn back as in straighten out.

no matter what you do... or how carefull you try to be.. your kit will be scraped eventually...

the bottom of my kit is all torn and the corners of the front bumber is cracked... crap happenn to it..

I have also killed several cones on the track with the side skirts and the rear add ons...

oh well...dosent bother me anymore... I still go on angles though... If I don't, I actually can not drive up on to the driveways

DON'T mold the bumper if you're already hitting. If you mold it and scrape a driveway hard, theres a good chance you will break the mold points, bend the fenders, and cause a TON of repair work for yourself.

as far as i know there is no way, because 1. u will scratch it just depends on where and how bad, 2. in ur case its even worse because ur springs are soft as hell and its not hold ur car up like its suppose to when u go over a bump(lowered car means harder springs) u'll just have to deal with it, because a race car dont belong on the street

well, everything has already been said about what to do.just try your best and be careful!don't worry when cars behind you get mad because you go too slow up the driveway.it happens to me all the time.

i am waiting for somebody to rear end me slightly, so that i get a new paintjob and aero kit out of the deal.
