How do I tighten my belt??

Just lately my belt has started squealing when i start it up and when i slow down to stop at a stop light. It stops when my car changes into second gear. Is this because my belt is loose or is it just worn?? Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to tell you what car i have. I have a 1990 240sx with 126k miles. My car would do this only when it was cold but now it just does it when i start it or slow down to stop at a light.

Which belt is it? Power steering, alternator or AC?
