How do i tell if my 98SE has LSD(besides burnout)

just got it few days ago. went to order diff fluid and they ask if it has lsd or not ..... gave them my vin but they were nto able to tell me still. does anyon eknow if there is some kind of stamp of the diff maybe that tells what type it is? burnout is an option but i dotn want to do it just yet

Lift the back wheels off the ground and spin the tires. They should spin at the same time.

If you have anti-lock brakes, then you will have a LSD as well. They came as a package together. or look for an orange sticker on your lsd pumpkin that says "viscous lsd"

Bronze MFP is correct...on S14 SEs...ABS/VLSD was a package, only way you could get either.

As for the diff fluid...it doesn't matter. The viscous unit is a SEALED unit, so you do not need any special fluid or additives. They all use 80W-90, GL-% oil...I like Mobil 1 gear oil, or the Valvoline Semi-Syn. Each can be had for $6-8/quart, the diff holds ~1.5 quarts.
