I keep hearing about the MREV2, but people say that it depends on if you have the RevUp engine (whatever that is) I have a 2005 coupe 6MT how do I determine what engine I have? Also does this mod require/benefit from the intake plenum spacer? If so what size seems to work best? I seem to see 5/16 posted a lot.

The 05+ 6mt have the Rev-up engine. Higher redline, supposedly faster revving, higher peak HP, and slightly less torque than the 5at.

Supposedly we only benefit from a plenum spacer if we get a revised lower plenum.

One of the mods will chirp in with details. I'm still too poor to thoroughly look into this. I just bought the 5/8 spacer from blox.

the 05+ will want the MREV2 with a plenum spacer to achieve what you are looking for in the performance.

The MREV2 is designed very similar to the 03-04 lower plenum which is the reason that 03-04 can get virtually the same out of just using a spacer.

This is good info, but do I have a Revup engine?

Also how do I get this MREV2 lower pleum and spacer? I have searched and have seen some posts about people getting fake ones. I don't want that to be me. Who are the reputable sites for these parts?

You have the 05 right? Then it's a Rev up!!

Go to http://www.everythingg35.com and ask for Joe.. he offers great Customer Service and very competative pricing. He's very helpful and knowledgable... tell him NICO sent ya!

Most everyone from here orders from there for those reasons!

Tell him you want the Motordyne 5/16 spacer and MREV 2 (lower plenum)

Let us know if you have anymore questions and good luck!!

You have an intake too right?

Then we'll work on getting you an exhaust next

As far as I know, none of the ATs have the rev-up motor.

Correct (just verified with Motordyne). The 6MT is the REVUP engine only, in either the coupe or sedan for the 2005+.

A simple way to tell is to look at where redline is. The rev-up motors redline at 7000 RPM while the non-rev-up maxes out at 6600 RPM.

The HR revs to about 7500 RPM.

SVT, did you see my post about the coupe exhaust in your area?

+1 for the BLOX as well.

Which is the 2 intake 350Z engine I assume? Is it purely an intake change or are there internal modifications? Can this plenum be bolted onto a RevUp engine? From what I understand it flows better than the stock one I have on my 05 6MT. It would also make twin turbo much easier.

I think you can get away with just a plenum spacer.

Do a VQ35HR search and there's an awesome thread with info on the HR differences. The internals were adjusted.
