I have a serious leak in my wiper fluid reservoir so I took it to the dealer and they said I needed a new tank for $250. So I filled it with water and it appears to be leaking from one of the three connections on the bottom of the tank, I am thinking it's a cracked washer or something.

The thing I couldn't figure out was how to safely remove the sensor and 2 feeds to the frot and rear wipers without damaging them so I can inspect the washers and possibly save myself $250.

Thanks for your help!

On most of the nissan washer resevoirs the sensor does not come out , the few that do come out usually get destroyed when trying to remove them. You will have to pry the sensor out and replace it if one is available. If you let me know what vehicle it is for I can give you a part # if it is available.

They don't come out huh? Man that sux!

I was hoping I could just replace a washer or something to stop the leak.

It's a 2003 Nissan Xterra XE 4wd 3.3L.

Thanks!

they sell the sensor separately, but I'am not sure how it comes out, twist it maybe??? I checked and the whole bottle assy runs $77.68 or $18 for a new sensor
