How do i remove steering wheel pad?

I tried to just take it off by force, but in failer, i kinda ripped the steering wheel pad, and you can sort of see the air bag underneath. I have a 1996 nissan 240sx se.

remove the two plastic access panels on each side of the steering wheel and remove the two safety torx bolts unplug the air bag and remove it. large nut under that removes steering wheel.
