how do i remove wiper arms

popped the cap off, and unbolted the nut, but those things are STUCK on there.....help? I want to prime and paint mine their all chipped

This is probably not that helpful, as I've never tried this on my Pathy....BUT, if they're anything like the wipers on my old Chrysler minivan, then they won't come off.I wanted to do the same thing as you on that vehicle, and I ended up cutting them off with a dremel, and buying new wiper arms. Good luck.

Use the wiper arm as leverage, you just need to give it a good pull. If it's never been removed, it will take a lot of elbow grease. It may just be rusted on there.

i was thinking of just lifting them up and doin it with them on the car, ill just use alot of tape and paper, lol iv actully sanded one down to the shiny metal it look kinda cool ill probly do it to the other one

you better paint those. my drivers side wiper is chipped and the shiny metal blinds me when the sun reflects off it...not cool

i painted mine last year but didnt shave them or primer them so clearly it didnt last long. It was a quick fix. sometime this year ill be redoing them on the vehicle
