Silly question for some I'm sure, but I had to ask. I'm pulling apart my engine now and trying to figure this part out. I took off the 6 or so 7mm hex nuts from the front of the VTC assembly that hold what appears to be a small plate, but don't see how to take this plate off easily. (The VTC assembly is shown on page 68 of the '94 FSM). Thanks.

Nope. Taking the engine apart, not the VTC assembly apart, as the manual says not to. I unscrewed the four small bolts that hold the front cover in place but could not pry it off, so I left it awhile and the large spring behind the cover eventually pushed the cover off. Go figure. I then had access to the nut in order for me to remove the assembly from the shaft.
